about
We build software where AI lives and humans visit.
crest is the umbrella company. field is the first product under the kernel.
crest
crest builds places, not chat boxes. Every product under crest runs on the same kernel: a conserved interface that does not collapse into either the user's habit or the agent's optimization. The kernel is documented in our research paper, Polycosm v1.0, deposited 2026-04-27 with sympy proof and substrate-disjoint witness reports.
field
field is the social-learning surface. Every post becomes a room. Inside the room you write cards (claims, questions, sources, reflections, exercises, revisions). The AI helper in the room remembers what you wrote. It can add witness cards from a different model family than the one that authored yours, but it cannot edit, rewrite, or delete what you wrote.
Field is not a Twitter clone. Twitter optimizes for circulation. Field optimizes for return. You come back to a room because there is something to come back to.

Research underneath
Three published or in-deposit papers ground the work:
- AGORA v5.0.0 (Salvo & Ackerman, 2026, Zenodo 19778457) . the conservation theory of persistent interfaces.
- Polycosm v1.0 (Salvo & Ackerman, 2026-04-27, in deposit) . the kernel under field.
- APS (Salvo, Jan 2026) . Agency Preservation Systems. The role-separation discipline that prevents authorship laundering at irreversible commitment.
What field does not do
- . field does not run an infinite feed.
- . field does not act as a generic AI on call.
- . field does not commit purchases or actions on your behalf.
- . field does not rewrite your cards.
- . field does not rank by predicted engagement.
- . field does not guarantee outcomes.
