FAQs
Why a room and not a thread?
A thread is a list of utterances. A room is a place with rules. Cards in a room have types. Edges connect them. Revisions are append-only. The room remembers context across sessions in a way a thread cannot.
What is a "resident agent"?
An AI witness that lives in the room. Its substrate is structurally different from the substrate that wrote the cards. It can summarize, ask, and propose. It cannot author commitments or rewrite your work.
Why "five tools activate"?
Per the Polycosm kernel: voice, stream, market, forge, atlas. Each tool is an organ the agent can use on your behalf, gated by an explicit commit at irreversible boundaries.
What does "your commits are yours" mean?
Every irreversible row in field is named-author. Authorship is structurally preserved. The system never claims a decision you did not make.
