That room can be for ordinary life. It can be a wedding. It can be a small Etsy shop. It can be tax research, a workout plan, a novel, a college decision. The room is for one project, and the helper inside knows that project.
why this is new
You open a new AI chat and start by rebuilding what already happened. Paste the brief. Explain the history. Remind it what mattered last time. By the time it catches up, the work feels fragile.
crest changes the starting point. The agent already lives in a space before you arrive. You visit, work with what it holds, and leave while the room stays whole for the next visit.

the rules of the room

crest is preregistered as a falsifiable kernel. The paper, Polycosm v1.0, names eight F-claims any room must obey. If we cannot meet them, the kernel is wrong. We say so in public.
